Nollywood actor, Tobi Makinde, has finally addressed the swirling rumours about a supposed fallout between him and prolific Nigerian filmmaker Funke Akindele.
Speaking during a recent BBC interview, the actor dismissed the speculation, pointing fingers at social media for creating narratives that don’t exist.
According to the actor, there’s no drama behind the scenes.
Makinde stressed that his relationship with Akindele goes beyond what people see online, noting that it didn’t start on social media and won’t end there either.

“Nothing really happened between me and Madam Funke, and I’m not aware of any fallout. Social media likes to construct stories.
“They write their own script and then start looking for people to fit into the roles.”
He, however, speaks on how growth and life changes can sometimes make it seem like relationships have faded, even when they haven’t.
“Our relationship no start from social media and no be for social media e go end,” he added.
“Sometimes, as you grow and move from one level to another, some relationships may look like they’re lost in transit, but that’s not really the case.”
