Adeleke Campaign Accuses APC Of Threatening Osun Electorates

The Adeleke Campaign Organisation has alleged that the Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship campaign team, Hon Wole Oke, issued a threat to Osun electorates ahead of the August 15 gubernatorial election.

The Campaign Organisation, in a statement issued on Thursday, accused Oke of threatening Osun voters to either support his candidate or face harsh consequences.

The statement asked President Bola Tinubu to call Osun APC and its Director General to order, adding that the Accord Party would resist any intimidation, harassment and attacks against the Osun people.

The statement read, “Our attention has been drawn to a viral video in which the Director General of the APC governorship campaign in Osun state, Hon Wole Oke, threatened Osun voters to either support his candidate or face harsh consequences.

“We hereby dare Hon Oke to touch, harass or attack Osun people and face equally harsh consequences of people’s revolt, anger, punishment and uprising against attempts to deny them their rights to vote for the candidate of their choice at the August 15 polls.

“We alert security agencies, democracy activists, the diplomatic community and the Presidency to an open threat to the peace and stability of Osun state by a politician who has vowed to foment crisis against the spirit of democracy.

“We equally put all electoral officials on notice that any attempt to manipulate and rig the August 15 elections will be severely resisted by the people and all vigilantes against electoral bandits.

“All that we seek is a level playing field for all contestants. Osun people are rising against electoral bandits and will defeat anti-democratic forces on August 15th.”
