The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, has admonished officers and men of the Command to uphold the highest standards of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
Kabir Hassan also appealed to members of the public for continued cooperation given to his predecessor in ensuring safety and security across the state.
The Commissioner, who made this appeal on Thursday while delivering his inaugural address, emphasised the importance of discipline, integrity, and respect for human rights in the discharge of duties.
He noted that effective policing can only be achieved through a strong partnership between the police and the communities they serve.
Umar Hassan reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to tackling crime, maintaining law and order, and safeguarding lives and property in Adamawa State.
The Police Commissioner further assured the people of Adamawa State of a renewed focus on intelligence-driven policing and proactive measures aimed at preventing crime and enhancing public trust in the Nigeria Police Force.
He urged officers to remain dedicated, vigilant, and responsive to the needs of the people.
Highlighting the role of community engagement, CP Hassan encouraged residents to provide timely and useful information that could aid security operations.
He assured that all reports would be treated with confidentiality and professionalism.
He warned that the Command would not tolerate misconduct or abuse of office, warning that any officer found culpable would face disciplinary action in accordance with the law.
