The Kaduna State Government has disbursed N2.85 billion as compensation to communities affected by ongoing road projects.
The Kaduna State Roads Agency (KADRA) Managing Director Abdullahi Baba-Ahmed said yesterday Governor Uba Sani has prioritised citizens’ welfare, thereby ensuring that development does not come at the expense of affected communities.
Baba-Ahmed said that the governor’s people-centred approach reflects a commitment to fairness, dignity, and respect in compensating residents impacted by road construction projects.
He said the compensation has been duly paid to affected communities across Kaduna state, demonstrating the administration’s resolve to protect the interests of citizens during infrastructure development.
The MD said the commitment extends beyond the Rigasa community, with the total amount fully disbursed to beneficiaries across five major road projects.
