Ouranos Technologies Strengthens Board for African Expansion


Ouranos Technologies Limited has strengthened its corporate governance structure with the appointment of senior industry professionals to its Board of Directors as the enterprise technology firm positions itself for regional expansion and deeper participation in Africa’s digital transformation market.

According to a statement on Tuesday, the company announced the appointment of Mr Tajudeen Ahmed as Chairman of the Board, effective 1 January 2026, alongside the addition of Mrs Omokunbi Adeoti and Mr Olalekan Olabode as Non-Executive Directors.

Ouranos Technologies, an enterprise technology solutions integrator and managed services provider operating across West Africa, delivers services spanning IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation solutions for organisations in banking, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, and the public sector.

Commenting on the appointments, Managing Director of Ouranos Technologies, Mr Mfon Okon, said the new board composition reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening governance and strategic leadership as demand for enterprise technology solutions accelerates across Africa.

“The appointment of Mr Tajudeen Ahmed as Chairman, alongside the addition of accomplished professionals such as Mrs Omokunbi Adeoti and Mr Olalekan Olabode to our Board, represents an important step in strengthening the governance and strategic leadership of Ouranos Technologies,” Okon said.

He added that as organisations across the continent intensify digital transformation efforts, strong governance and operational discipline are becoming increasingly critical.

“The depth of experience our new board members bring will support Ouranos Technologies in delivering innovative, secure, and scalable technology solutions for our customers across the region,” he said.

Ahmed brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across consulting, banking, manufacturing, and capital markets. A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he earned a degree in accounting as the best graduating student in both his department and faculty, he also holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Ahmed has held senior roles at Arthur Andersen/KPMG, Zenith Bank Plc, Skye Bank Plc, Variant Advisory Limited, and BUA Group. During his time at BUA Group, he played a key role in the listing of BUA Foods Plc on the Nigerian Exchange and supported regulatory approvals for the Bundu Free Trade Zone in Port Harcourt.

He currently serves as Associate Director (Deal Origination) at Lead Capital Plc and sits on the board of the Society for Corporate Governance Nigeria.

Joining the Board as Non-Executive Director, Adeoti brings over 24 years of experience in human capital strategy, governance, organisational transformation, and customer experience across sub-Saharan Africa.

She currently serves as Chief People Experience Officer at Leadway Group, where she oversees human capital and customer experience strategy across multiple business entities covering insurance, pensions, health, hospitality, and asset management operations.

Adeoti has led enterprise restructuring initiatives, HR digitisation programmes, and group-wide customer experience optimisation projects aimed at improving organisational performance and employee productivity. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and a member of global professional bodies, including the HR Forbes Council.

Also appointed as a non-executive director, Olabode brings more than two decades of experience in finance, maritime logistics, and supply chain management. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, he has built expertise in financial strategy, treasury management, and operational oversight within complex multinational environments.

His experience includes navigating foreign exchange volatility, managing interest rate exposure, and designing governance frameworks focused on organisational resilience and long-term value creation. He is currently pursuing an executive MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Supporting the board’s governance structure is Ms Margaret Akpoyoware, who serves as company secretary. A legal practitioner with experience in corporate advisory, commercial transactions, litigation, and regulatory compliance, she previously worked with Chief Rotimi Williams Chambers and Olajide Oyewole & Co. before founding Nero’s Practice.
