General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on Christians across Nigeria, particularly RCCG members to be true vessels of light and become agents of national transformation, noting that the country’s future depends on individuals reflecting God’s light in their daily lives.

Adeboye made the call at the RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta Lagos, on Easter Sunday which coincides with the April Thanksgiving and Special Prayers for the Creative Arts Practicioners, Regulatory Authorities, Support Service Providers and their families.

In the sermon titled ‘Vessels of Light’, Adeboye represented by Pastor Olukayode Pitan, Pastor-incharge of RCCG Region 20, described a vessel as a person set apart for divine purpose — a carrier of God’s presence, salvation, grace, truth and holiness, acting as a direct contrast to the darkness of sin and evil. Giving scriptural quotes, as he noted that God is seeking individuals who will live in righteousness and maintain fellowship with Him.

“God is looking for vessels of light to drive away darkness,” he said, adding that believers must reflect divine character both in private and public life. Charging Christians to rise and shine, he stressed that divine light attracts influence and recognition. “God wants kings and leaders to come to the brightness of your rising,” he declared.
