Tuggar Resigns From Tinubu’s Cabinet

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has tendered his resignation from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

New Telegraph gathered that the Minister resigned from his position to pursue the Bauchi State governorship ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.

Announcing the development on Monday, the Ministry’s spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, said Tuggar’s resignation follows a presidential directive issued earlier in March.

Tuggar submitted his resignation letter to the President shortly after noon, March 30, with the intention of running for the State gubernatorial election.
