As part of activities to mark this year’s National police Day, the Borno State Police Command has embarked on a sanitation exercise and free medical outreach aimed at promoting public health, environmental cleanliness, and strengthening community relations.
The exercise, which was led by the Commissioner of Police, Borno State Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid, psc, took place at Kofa Biyu/Monday Market axis of Maiduguri, and witnessed active participation of police officers, medical personnel, and members of the community
The sanitation activity focused on clearing waste, improving hygiene, and enhancing the general outlook of the environment, while the medical outreach spearheaded by the Command AC Medical, ACP Dr Akeem Kadir, provided free basic healthcare services to residents, including consultations and treatment.

Speaking on the initiative, CP Abdulmajid said that the exercise underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to community-oriented policing and its role beyond crime prevention to include humanitarian services and public wellbeing.
CP Naziru reiterates that the National Police Day celebration is designed to foster a stronger police-community partnership, build public trust, and showcase the human face of policing.
The Command members of the public are urged to continue to support the Police with credible information to actively participate in subsequent activities lined up for the celebration.
