Silva Moves To Exit Manchester City This Summer

Bernardo Silva has reportedly informed Manchester City of his intention to leave the club this summer, potentially bringing an end to his hugely successful spell at the Etihad Stadium.

The Portuguese star, a central figure in Pep Guardiola’s dominant squad, is reportedly looking for a fresh challenge as his contract is entering its final stages.

Silva’s departure would represent a major blow in the dressing room, where he is regarded as a leader and one of Guardiola’s most reliable tactical figures on the pitch.

Adding to the concern, 2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri has also been linked with a potential move to Real Madrid, forcing City to start preparing for life without their influential midfield duo.

This decision would bring an end to a remarkable nine-year Premier League career, during which he has become a true club legend.

Since arriving from Monaco, Silva has won 16 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph.

His exit would leave a notable void in City’s midfield, which is already under scrutiny for its long-term structure.

Silva has long been linked with a move to La Liga, with Barcelona widely regarded as his preferred destination.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, has reportedly contacted several top European clubs, including Atlético Madrid, Juventus, and Napoli, to gauge interest.

Outside Europe, clubs in the Saudi Pro League are ready to offer Silva a lucrative contract, while Major League Soccer also remains a potential option.
