The emergence of two factional secretariats of the African Democratic Party (ADC) in Delta State has polarized the party.
While the secretariat located in Okpanam is laying claim to the soul of the party, another in Asaba is claiming authenticity.
Although the opposition party’s Transition Leadership Team (TLT) of the party, led by Fred Akpewe, insists that there is division in the ADC, factional Chairman Austine Okolie maintained that the party is divided.
Akpewe said Delta ADC having separate offices as the state secretariat did not amount to a division. He said: “The explanation has become necessary because Austine Okolie has been creating the erroneous impression that there is division in Delta ADC, when in the real sense of it there is none.”
