No fewer than 11,000 undergraduate and 443 postgraduate students graduated during the combined 8th, 9th and 10th convocation ceremony of Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau, on Saturday.
The event, attended by dignitaries and stakeholders, highlighted the institution’s steady growth and academic progress.
Governor Bala Mohammed, who graced the occasion, reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening education in the state.
Vice Chancellor, Professor Fatima Tahir, in her remarks, disclosed that the university has recorded notable achievements, including the successful accreditation of 17 programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
She commended the state government for its continued support, which she said has significantly improved teaching, learning and research.
Also speaking, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Gambo Laraba Abdullahi, described the convocation as a reflection of the government’s dedication to educational development.
The Chancellor of the university and Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, urged graduands to uphold the values of excellence and responsibility as they step into the wider society.
