The paramount ruler of Iwoland, Iwoland local government area of Osun State, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has barred the lawmaker representing Ayedire/Iwo/Olaoluwa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Lukman Mudashiru, from entering his palace.
Oba Akanbi made this known in a statement he shared on his Facebook page on Friday. The revered traditional ruler accused Mudashiru of neglecting Iwo traditional institutions.
Before barring Mudashiru, an indigene of Iwo, elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in 2023, but currently an Accord Party member, Oluwo had endorsed Ayodeji Bello, another Iwo indigene seek- ing the Accord Party’s ticket for Ayedire/Iwo/Olaoluwa Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
In an update on the matter shared on his Facebook page yesterday, Oluwo said by virtue of his position, he deserves a stewardship explanation from the current lawmaker representing the constituency, which he has failed to render.
The statement titled, “Oluwo Bars House of Rep. Member representing Iwo Federal Constituency in Abuja from entering his palace,” further read, “Oluwo is an entity.
He is the traditional head of the town. “The stool is rich, and further promoted by the incum- bent occupant, Oba Abdul- rosheed Adewale Akanbi. Iwo is the traditional and political head of Osun West Senatorial District, Osun State.
