The Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee ( NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the decision of the party to challenge the Court of Appeal judgment that invalidated the Ibadan convention at the Supreme Court.
The faction announced the party’s decision on Friday, March 27, after an emergency NEC meeting of the PDP, led by Turaki and the Adolphus Wabara Board of Trustees (BoT) held at the Bauchi Governor’s lodge in Abuja.

New Telegraph reports that the meeting was the third this week, and matters concerning party, especially in relation to the plan national convention of the Abdulrahman Mohamed-led caretaker committee, had been at the centre of discussions.
Recall that the Court of Appeal in Abuja had on March 9, 2026, affirmed the November 14 judgment by Justice Peter Lifu of the Federal High Court, restraining the PDP from proceeding with its November 15–16 national convention in Ibadan without giving former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, the opportunity to participate as a chairmanship candidate.
