Mavin Records Debuts Short Film ‘Chapter EX’


Renowned Nigerian record label, Mavin Records,has ventured into filmmaking with its debut movie ‘Chapter EX’.

The label announced the release of the short film via YouTube.

“For your viewing pleasure; Chapter EX- The short film by Mavin, made by Savant @madebysavant us now on your screens. Go and enjoy,” it wrote on Instagram.

Chapter EX, written by Ayomide Tayo and Ishioma Egba and directed by Daniel David, tells the story of Eve, who believes she has found her soulmate in Chijioke. However, their romantic evening takes an unexpected turn when they are confronted by Chijioke’s vengeful ex.

The 11-minute movie features talented actors Tomi Ojo, Deji Osikoya, and Amarachi Audu.

Mavin Records was established in 2012 and has been instrumental in launching the careers of successful Afrobeats artistes such as Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Crayon, Rema, and Ladipoe.

The label has garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious MTV Africa Music Award for Best Record Label in 2013 and 2014.
