Stanbic IBTC Reports N381bn Revenue in Strong 2025 Showing


Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc has recorded a strong financial performance for the year ended 31 December 2025, posting a group profit of N381bn, up 68 per cent from the N225.3bn recorded in 2024.

In its annual statements of profit or loss for the year ended 31 December 2025, the group’s total income rose to N896bn, representing a 38 per cent increase from N647bn the previous year, boosted by a sharp rise in fee and commission revenue, which climbed to N230.2bn, up 35 per cent from N170.4bn in 2024. Trading revenue also contributed significantly, increasing to N77bn, a 33 per cent rise year-on-year.

Net interest income jumped to N585bn, up 43 per cent from N410.5bn in 2024, reflecting strong lending activities and improved asset quality. The company’s operating expenses grew to N330bn, up 35 per cent from N244bn, largely due to higher staff costs and administrative expenses.

For the fourth quarter alone, Stanbic IBTC posted a profit of N101.2bn, a staggering 652 per cent increase from N13.4bn in Q4 2024. Basic earnings per share rose to 2,368 kobo, up from 1,710 kobo, highlighting strong returns for shareholders.
