Fatgbems Opens New Mega Station in Ogun State

Fatgbems Group has opened a new mega fuel station in the OPIC area of Isheri, Ogun State, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway corridor.

The facility was recently unveiled in a ceremony attended by government officials, traditional rulers, industry stakeholders, company executives, staff and community members.

The station includes multiple fuelling bays to reduce service time, a convenience store, modern restrooms and other customer amenities on a spacious forecourt designed to handle high traffic volumes.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Fatgbems Group, Dr Kabir Gbemisola, said the station represents the company’s focus on quality, reliability and improved customer experience, as well as its investment in infrastructure to support mobility and local development.

The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, who represented the state government, commended the indigenous company for its investment, which she said contributes to economic growth and job creation in the state.

She noted that such private sector initiatives align with Ogun’s goal of becoming a major industrial and commercial centre.

“We are proud to see indigenous companies like Fatgbems Group expanding and creating employment opportunities for our people. This investment aligns with Ogun State’s vision of becoming a leading industrial and commercial hub, and we encourage more responsible businesses to take advantage of the enabling environment we are building,” she stated.

In his goodwill message, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, described the project as beneficial to the community, saying it brings modern infrastructure, stimulates economic activity and provides employment opportunities for youths.

“This project is a welcome development for our people. Beyond providing essential services, it stimulates economic activities and creates jobs for our youths. We appreciate Fatgbems Group for choosing to invest in our land and for being a responsible corporate organisation,” the monarch said.

The retail outlet is expected to generate direct and indirect jobs, boost commercial activities in the surrounding area and improve access to quality petroleum products for motorists and businesses along the busy corridor.

Fatgbems Group stated that the station adheres to high safety and environmental standards, with modern safety equipment and trained personnel in place.
