Amaanah Finance unveils non-interest banking services

A non-interest finance bank, Amaanah Finance, will on Monday (today) officially commence operations, introducing a new ethical approach to investing, financing, and wealth creation in the country.

The institution, in a statement on Sunday, said it is built on the principles of transparency, partnership, and real economic impact.

According to the statement, the bank offers financial solutions designed for individuals and businesses seeking responsible ways to grow their wealth while earning competitive and transparent returns.

Guided by the philosophy of building prosperity with principles, the bank focuses on economic empowerment through Shari’ah-compliant financial products that support individuals, micro, small, and medium enterprises, startups, and large-scale projects across the country.

“At the centre of its operating model is the belief that finance should promote shared prosperity. Under its investment structure, funds deposited in Amaanah Investment Accounts are ethically invested in viable, high-growth MSMEs that contribute to Nigeria’s economy.

‎‎“Returns earned by investors are linked to real economic activity, while entrepreneurs access capital through partnership-based arrangements rather than conventional debt,” the statement read in part.

‎‎The bank said the model reflects an emphasis on economic inclusion over financial inclusion, with the aim of expanding access to productive capital and promoting shared growth.

‎‎Through this approach, the firm said it intends to deliver sustainable social impact in Nigeria and across Africa, with a vision to become the continent’s most trusted and impact-driven non-interest financial service provider.

‎‎“Amaanah Finance offers ethical investment, financing, advisory, and wealth management solutions tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses,” it added.

‎‎The firm said all its products are transparent, asset-backed and fully compliant with Shari’ah principles to ensure clarity and fairness for customers.

‎‎“Nigeria’s MSMEs account for more than 90 per cent of businesses and employ over 80 per cent of the workforce, yet they receive a relatively small portion of formal financing. Amaanah Finance is positioned to help address this gap by providing interest-free, partnership-based funding that supports business expansion, job creation, and community development,” it added.
