Aradel Achieves Major Safety Milestone of 10M LTI-Free Hours

Aradel Holdings Plc says it recorded 10 million man-hours without a lost-time injury across its operations as of 21 December 2025.

In a statement, the company said the milestone was achieved across all its subsidiaries during a period of expanded operational activity, reflecting what it described as a deeply embedded health, safety, and environment culture supported by structured safety initiatives and proactive leadership.

Aradel noted that its annual HSE Week, now approaching its ninth year, has continued to play a key role in reinforcing vigilance and sustaining safety performance across the organisation.

The company said it has attained ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management and ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management, while it is on course to achieve ISO 45001:2018 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

In August 2025, Aradel marked 20 years of continuous production while maintaining what it described as an excellent HSE record.

The company also disclosed that it has rolled out SAP EHS Management, a software solution for the digital management of occupational health, workplace safety and environmental compliance.

Commenting on the milestone, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Aradel Holdings Plc, Adegbite Falade, said, “Aradel is firmly committed to creating a workplace where safety is our top priority, because for us, the first measure of success is safety. Our safety record reflects not only the robustness of our systems but also the strength of our culture. Achieving 10 million man-hours without LTI demonstrates the discipline, collaboration, and dedication of everyone working across our business. At Aradel, we proceed at the speed of safety.”

The company said its ‘Stop Work’ mandate, which empowers employees and contractors to halt any activity perceived as unsafe, remains a core part of its safety framework, adding that its Golden Safety Rules have been cascaded across the organisation to reinforce a “see something, say something” culture.

Aradel added that it remains committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions that support Nigeria’s economic growth while strengthening operational performance and setting new safety benchmarks across the energy sector.
