Power Oil Turns Festive Campaign into Community Impact

In the spirit of the season, Power Oil, a cooking oil brand by Tolaram, took its festive platform, ‘Powering Love, Sharing Joy,’ beyond words and into action by visiting the Bethesda School of the Blind, Lagos, following consumer suggestions across social media.

What began as a digital call inviting Nigerians to nominate communities where love could be shared evolved into a powerful moment of connection. With the highest engagement and mentions, Bethesda School of the Blind emerged as the clear choice, reinforcing Power Oil’s belief that community voices should shape meaningful impact.

A statement by the firm on Wednesday stated that the visit marked a Certified Christmas in line with the brand’s “Certified Healthy. Be Certified Fit” theme for the year. Members of the Power Oil team spent time with the students, sharing laughter and distributing essential items, creating a warm and memorable festive experience.

At the heart of the visit was the school’s end-of-year talent showcase, proudly sponsored by Power Oil. Students took the stage to sing, perform, and express joy through their talents, reminding everyone present that ability, not limitation, defines potential. In a defining moment of the celebration, the brand awarded the winning talent a cash prize of one million naira, underscoring its commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and shared joy.

According to the Marketing Manager, Oils and Fats Portfolio, Tolaram, Roland Akpe, the visit represented more than a festive outreach. He said the experience reflected what Power Oil has stood for over the years—caring for wellbeing, celebrating life, and creating moments that keep people connected.

“At Tolaram, we believe in spreading love and making a difference in our communities. We are happy to share joy with these amazing students and support their journey,” Akpe said.

He added that from the meals Nigerians cook to the lives the brand touches, Power Oil continues to stand for love, joy, and healthier futures for all.

Expressing gratitude for the visit and gifts, one of the students said the gesture meant a great deal to them. “It’s a reminder that we are not alone. We feel loved and seen,” the student said.

The initiative aligns with Power Oil’s mission to promote wellness and happiness through its products while fostering inclusion and meaningful community engagement. By responding directly to consumer voices and transforming digital engagement into real-life impact, the brand reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating life and uplifting communities during the festive season.

The visit to Bethesda School of the Blind highlighted the power of collective goodwill and reinforced Power Oil’s belief that sharing love and joy can create lasting memories and inspire hope, especially during the Christmas season.
