The Mood Market Debuts Unique Christmas Fair in Lagos

The Mood Market by Riella Luxé made its much-anticipated debut on Monday, bringing a unique rooftop Christmas experience to residents and visitors in Lagos. The event, held in Lagos, offered a full-day celebration of festive food, music, gifting, and lifestyle, the organiser said in a statement.

Designed as a mood-led Christmas fair, The Mood Market went beyond conventional shopping, allowing attendees to shop according to emotion and intention. The event featured curated zones showcasing brands in candles, beauty, fashion, art, and gourmet treats, all set against the city skyline.

The highlight of the evening came at 8 p.m., when guests gathered for the first-ever Christmas Tree Light-Up Countdown, a signature moment intended to establish a new festive tradition in Lagos. Visitors also enjoyed a wide array of comfort foods and holiday-inspired bites in a lounge-style atmosphere, accompanied by live, DJ-led music throughout the day and night.

Speaking on the vision behind the event, Gabriella P. Okechukwu, Founder and Curator of The Mood Market by Riella Luxé, said, “The Mood Market was born out of a desire to change how people experience Christmas shopping. Instead of overwhelming fairs, we created a curated rooftop space where people can shop according to their moods, enjoy good food and music, and find gifts that truly mean something. The Christmas tree light-up represents our vision of building a shared festive moment that Lagos can return to every year.”

By blending intentional shopping, festive food, music, and atmosphere, The Mood Market has positioned itself as a refreshing addition to Lagos’ Christmas calendar, offering an experience centred on mood, memory, and meaningful celebration.
