Expert urges African entrepreneurs to see opportunities


A business analyst, Adewale Adebawo, has charged African entrepreneurs to turn challenges into opportunities, noting that ideas can emerge from difficult economic terrains.

At the Business Verge Awards, a leading platform celebrating innovation and excellence across Africa’s business and technology ecosystem, which hosted Adebawo, he said, ‘Across Africa, innovators are showing that great ideas can emerge from difficult environments. “They are improving livelihoods, shaping industries, and strengthening communities,” he said.

He emphasised that Africa’s strength lies in its people: bold entrepreneurs who turn constraints into opportunities and create enterprises that uplift society.

Aligned with the event’s focus on innovation, Adebawo celebrated breakthroughs in fintech, clean energy, and technology-driven industries. He praised African fintech founders for advancing financial inclusion, cross-border payments, and digital banking, while also recognising clean-energy startups for powering communities sustainably.

He also highlighted the creative economy, applauding content creators, storytellers, and digital entrepreneurs who are transforming narratives, amplifying voices, and inspiring change across the continent.

Based in the United Kingdom and with strong ties to Nigeria, Adebawo manages business operations across both regions and serves as a strategist shaping institutions in finance, fintech, construction, environmental services, and more. His expertise in simplifying complex systems and mentoring emerging leaders has made him a trusted advisor across sectors.
