Alert Group offers free eye care in Abuja and Ibadan

The Alert Group has announced plans to hold free eye care outreaches in Ibadan and Abuja as part of its community development initiative, “See Better Life with Alert.”

The outreach, which will offer free eye check-ups, consultations, and prescription glasses, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Ibadan and on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Abuja.

In a statement on Thursday, following the success of previous editions in Yaba and Mushin, Lagos, where over 300 residents benefited from free eye care services, the company said the new editions aim to reach even more people across the country.

The President of Alert Group, Kazeem Olanrewaju, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to improving lives through accessible healthcare.

“Eyes speak a universal language,” Olanrewaju stated. “This time, we are doubling our impact with increased funding and plan to serve more than 500 beneficiaries per location.”

Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of Bucksfield Asset Management, a subsidiary of the Alert Group, Yele Osunsanya, said the initiative aligns with the company’s goal of expanding its social impact footprint nationwide.

“Abuja, being the nation’s capital, represents a key area for our impact drive,” Osunsanya noted. “Following our sponsorship of the 29th Annual Conference of Stockbrokers in Abuja, we are strengthening our presence there through various subsidiaries.”

He added that the free eye care exercise would be held in local markets to ensure easy access for children, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups.

The Alert Group said the outreach is part of its broader community support agenda, which also includes customer appreciation and engagement programmes such as the recent Customer Service Week celebration.
