KOK, Nosa Rex, Others Unveiled As Ambassadors For Indigenous Don Coco Drinks

A-list Nollywood stars Zubby Michael, Nosa Rex, Catherine Onoja, Dukori Patience, alongside a Liberian-born model Fanta Amonaline Kouyateh have been unveiled as brand ambassadors for Nigeria’s newest premium beverage brand, DonCoco.

The unveiling of the stars took place at an event that brought together entertainment and business stakeholders to celebrate what many described as a new chapter for the locally produced premium drinks.
Speaking at the unveiling and product launch in Lagos, Managing Director of IKI Leads Ltd, Innocent Onwunali said the launch of DonCoco represents a bold step in fulfilling a long-held dream of producing affordable premium-quality beverages within Nigeria.

“Our goal is simple, to build a brand that Nigerians can own, enjoy, and take pride in. Most of the brands we have in the market are imported, and when you add importation costs, they become too expensive. But since DonCoco is made in Nigeria, more people can afford it, ”Onwunali stated.
He added that the company remains committed to keeping prices stable despite inflationary pressures.

“We want to ensure that people can afford our products. Even if there’s inflation, we plan to maintain our starting prices for a while before any increase,” he assured.
Onwunali revealed that DonCoco debuts five distinct variants; Vodka with Orange, Whisky and Cola, Tequila Reposado, and Single Malt Whisky all developed through market research to reflect diverse Nigerian tastes.

‎In his remark at the unveiling, Nollywood legend Kanayo O. Kanayo delivered a rich endorsement of the new brand, drawing applause from guests.

‎“When you cook a soup, you have a name for it, and that name sells it. This soup has been cooked in a factory, and the factory has a name. This product is not just for Christmas, it is for a long time. With names like Zubby Michael, Baba Rex, and others, the marketing of the product has already begun,” Kanayo declared.

‎He described the premium brand as the drink of the century, and a drink for all seasons and all genders while urging Nigerians to raise their glasses in celebration of a proudly local innovation.

‎Other ambassadors shared their excitement and pride in representing the premium brand. Actor and filmmaker, Nosa Rex vouched for the product’s quality, saying, “I drink it, so I’m not just saying it’s nice for nothing. I’ve tasted all of them, they are good products.”

‎For Zubby Michael, the event was personal as he lauded the CEO’s humility and drive, calling him a role model whose leadership speaks volumes. On their part, actress Catherine Onoja, Dukori PaPaPaPatience and Fanta Amonaline Kouyateh, a Liberian-born model and content creator described the unveiling as a proud moment noting that the range of flavours ensures inclusivity, as there is something for everyone with a call for Nigerians to embrace optimism that Nigerians would embrace the new taste.
