‘Your Only Way Out Is To Leave This World’, Singer Rudeboy Vows To Find Woman Who Accused Him Of Rape

Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has vowed to track down and take legal action against an X user who accused him of sexually assaulting a domestic worker, a post that has set off a storm of reaction online.

The controversy began after a separate X user, @darkskinnedtemi, suggested Rudeboy had been unfaithful to his ex-wife with a housemaid. Another user, identified as Ayomide Agoola (@chubbiedivah), then posted a sharper allegation claiming the singer “raped/coerced their domestic help,” adding the woman was “most likely wayyyy younger” and “the help… how could she say no?”

Reacting on Wednesday on X, the “Reason With Me” the singer warned the account holder that he would use his “power, resources and money” to make her an example and to pursue her through the courts.

He wrote, “I hardly reply !!! But you see this one !!! @chubbiedivah if you like go private , leave X !! I will find you, I will use every necessary means, power, resources and money !!! You will face the law , I will use you to set an example!! (scapegoat )… your only way out is to leave the surface of this earth and relocate to space .. to everyone that brought my attention to her tweet … thank you.”

Social media users reacted with a mix of support for Rudeboy and concern for the safety of the accuser. Some commentators urged that if the accuser’s life is threatened she should make that public so she could be protected; others called for defamation suits if the claims were untrue. Threads and community boards reported that the accuser’s account was deactivated after the clash.
