Insurance & Pension Editors Host 10th Annual Conference in L


Stakeholders in the insurance and pension industries have expressed support for the 10th annual conference of the Nigerian Association of Insurance and Pension Editors.

The conference, themed ‘Strengthening Insurance and Pension Frameworks For Better Economy’, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday in Lagos.

According to the association, support has come from insurance companies, insurance institutions, broking firms, pension regulatory authorities, pension fund operators, and others.

The Chairperson of NAIPE, Mrs. Nkechi Naeche-Esezobor, expressed excitement at the level of support received so far for the conference, noting that it reflected the consistency of the conference and the impact it has made, not only on the insurance and pension sectors but also on the nation’s economy as a whole.

“Every year the conference keeps getting better, attracting more support and sponsorship, not only from the insurance and pension sectors but also from other sectors of the nation’s economy. This increased support and sponsorship for the conference underscores the general acceptance of the conference because of its consistency and the impact it has created,” Naeche-Esezobor said.

The conference will be chaired by the former Commissioner for Insurance/Chief Executive Officer, National Insurance Commission, Mr.  Sunday Thomas, while the keynote speaker is Managing Director/CEO of Arthur Stevens Asset Management Limited, Mr. Olatunde Amolegbe.

Special Guests of Honour are the Commissioner for Insurance/CEO, NAICOM, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, and the Director-General, PenCom, Ms. Omolara Oloworaran.

Panellists to discuss the conference’s theme include Director-General, Nigerian Insurers Association, Mrs. Bola Odukale; CEO, Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria, Mr. Oguche Agudah; Head of Operations, Parthian Pensions Ltd, Mr. Adetunbi Ashaye; Executive Director, Business Development, emPLE Life Assurance, Mr. Makanjuola Tubi; and Director, Legal, Enforcement and Market Development, NAICOM, Dr. Talmis Usman.
