Najite Elected President Of TVC Women’s Network

Nigerian Crime and broadcast journalist, Cindy Onajite Atirene, better known as Najite, has been elected as the new President of the TVC Women’s Network (TVCWN), the internal empowerment arm of TVC Communications.

Saturday Telegraph reports that Najite’s tenure, which commences with immediate effect, will run for two years, from 2025 to 2027.

The TVC Women’s Network was established to provide women within the organisation with a platform for professional development, mentorship, and community engagement.

Over the years, the network has grown into a rallying point for female staff, championing empowerment initiatives while also extending its impact into local communities through outreach programmes, mentorship opportunities, and advocacy projects.

Speaking shortly after her election, Najite expressed gratitude to her colleagues for entrusting her with the role. She pledged to use her position to amplify women’s voices and expand the network’s influence.

“This role is not just about me. It is about using the TVC Women’s Network as a vehicle to amplify women’s voices, empower young girls, and touch the lives of children in ways that shape a better future for our society,” she said.

Currently serving as Head of News at Yanga FM, a sister station under TVC Communications, Najite brings years of professional experience and a strong passion for advocacy to her new leadership role.

Throughout her career, she has consistently used her platform in journalism to address pressing social issues, including child protection, sexual abuse, drug abuse, teenage cultism, and gangsterism.

Her reporting and campaigns have sparked conversations that continue to drive positive change in society.

Her election reflects TVC Communications’ ongoing commitment to fostering inclusive leadership spaces for women, while also highlighting the increasing recognition of female voices in Nigeria’s media industry.
