Cowrywise & Meristem Launch New Stock Investment Platform in

Cowrywise, a leading investment technology firm in Nigeria, in partnership with its sister company, CFTL Digital, a licensed digital sub-broker, and Meristem Stockbrokers Limited, has launched a new stock investment platform aimed at expanding access to wealth-building opportunities for Nigerians.

The alliance combines Cowrywise’s digital innovation with Meristem’s trusted market infrastructure to allow Nigerians to become shareholders, grow wealth as companies succeed, and actively participate in the Nigerian capital market.

In a statement made available to our correspondent on Friday, the launch, held at a press event themed ‘A partnership that moves the market forward’, introduced the stock investment feature on the Cowrywise app, accessible through CFTL Digital.

Speaking at the event, the Marketing Manager at Cowrywise, Grillo Adebiyi, said, “Cowrywise’s products encapsulate the needs of the everyday Nigerian looking to build wealth in a way that fits their lifestyle and their pocket. Our users can start investing with as little as N5,000. With this new stock product, we’re creating even more opportunities for Nigerians to grow their financial futures.”

The platform, called Stocks by Cowrywise, offers features designed to support informed investment decisions. Product Lead at Cowrywise, Yarmirama Ashama, showcased tools including a real-time market dashboard, liquidity ratings, educational content, and detailed insights on listed companies, which are aimed at helping investors purchase shares with confidence.

However, an intuitive interface alone is insufficient for scaling stock investment. Meristem Stockbrokers, with over 20 years of market leadership, provides the regulatory and operational foundation needed to execute trades efficiently and securely.

Also, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Meristem Nigeria, Adefemi Taiwo, stated, “We do not just execute trades; we enable confidence. Our infrastructure and commitment to best execution ensure that every investor, no matter their background, has access to world-class capital market services. Partnering with Cowrywise wasn’t just a strategic decision; it was a shared vision to disrupt the market and move it forward.”

According to the statement, the partnership underscores Meristem’s evolution from a traditional stockbroker into a dynamic, investor-focused institution that promotes financial inclusion. Through this collaboration, Nigerians, from university students investing N5,000 to seasoned professionals diversifying portfolios, can now invest in up to 140 companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange.

Cowrywise and Meristem describe the collaboration as more than a technical integration. It is a mission to rewrite the narrative of who gets access to the capital market, foster financial literacy, and create wealth opportunities for a broader population.
