Santuraki to Headline 2025 NIM National Conference in Abuja


Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Mohammed Santuraki, is set to deliver the main address at the 2025 Annual National Management Conference of the Nigerian Institute of Management. The event is scheduled for September 7 to 9 at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry Conference Centre.

According to a statement issued by the Registrar and Chief Executive of NIM, Mrs Taiwo Olusesi, Dr Santuraki is a distinguished fellow of the Institute and a renowned public policy analyst.

He brings extensive experience in accounting, management, and banking, having previously served as MD/CEO of FBN Mortgages and the Bank of Agriculture. He also held positions as Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Development Finance Institutions and National Vice President of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Nigeria.

“The annual conference, which is the flagship of the Institute’s programmes, provides a platform to brainstorm on pressing governance and leadership issues and propose solutions to government and key decision-makers,” Olusesi said.

The 2025 edition will focus on the theme ‘Leveraging Emerging Technologies to Drive Innovation, Creativity and Productivity’.

The conference is expected to attract around 2,000 participants, including government officials, opinion leaders, policy formulators, and top management executives from both the public and private sectors.

In addition to the main address, the Institute has organised several breakout sessions covering topics such as youth empowerment for future leadership, artificial intelligence and its impact on management processes, human capital development, and improving living conditions for senior citizens through geriatric management.

Keynote presentations and panel discussions will feature prominent figures such as Country Director of Chemonics GHSE-PSM Project Nigeria, Deacon Mike Egboh; former Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba; Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examination Council, Prof. Dantani Wushishi; and Trade Market Access Lead at the UK Department for Business and Trade, Dr. Simeon Umukoro.

The panel discussions will be moderated by the Managing Director of Marthers International Ltd and serving Council member of the Institute, Ms. Christie Adejoh.

Breakout sessions will include insights from Prof. Nnamdi Nwaodu, Director-General of the Centre for African American Research Studies; Ms. Omolara Onuwa-Abiamuwe, Director of Programmes at UNICONN Institute of Technology; and Dr. Tope Fasua, Special Adviser to the President of Nigeria on Economic Matters.

Olusesi encouraged members of the Institute and other interested participants to register and pay for the conference via the official NIM website.

The conference promises to be a key forum for discussing the future of management in Nigeria, highlighting the role of technology, innovation, and strategic leadership in driving national productivity and development.
