Lagos Hosts African Creatives at EWA 2025

Lagos will host Entertainment Week Africa from November 18 to 23, 2025, providing a platform to connect African creatives with global investors, industry leaders and policymakers.

The event, rebranded from Entertainment Week Lagos, aims to expand the continent’s creative economy across music, film, fashion, technology and live production, organisers said on Tuesday.

EWA 2025 will feature six flagship experiences: a Content Festival, Music Festival, Fashion Festival, AI & Tech Expo, Live Production Expo, and Creative Job Fair. The initiative is designed to open pathways for emerging creatives, offering mentorship, funding opportunities, and access to international markets.

Co-founder and Chief Creative Officer of Livespot360, Darey Art Alade, said, “In just three years, what started as a local initiative has transformed into a continental force. Entertainment Week Africa is a commitment to building a pan-African creative economy that is visible, viable, and globally competitive.”

The platform seeks to bridge gaps between talent and infrastructure, innovation and capital, and local potential and global visibility. With Africa’s creative industries projected to contribute billions to GDP and generate millions of jobs, the organisers say EWA 2025 will provide a structured entry point for international investors while supporting the continent’s emerging creative talent.

EWA has already established a track record of enabling distribution opportunities and fostering high-impact partnerships. The Lagos edition is expected to further position Africa’s creative economy on the global stage.
