Lil Kesh Breaks Silence After Stabbing Attack In Lagos

Nigerian rapper Keshinro Ololade professionally known as Lil Kesh has spoken publicly for the first time since the shocking attack in Lagos that left him hospitalized with severe injuries.

The “Shoki” crooner was reportedly stabbed in the neck during a violent assault last Wednesday, with part of his ear also severed before it was successfully stitched back.

His jewelry was allegedly stolen in the incident, sparking concern and prayers from fans and colleagues across the entertainment industry.

Breaking his silence on X (formerly Twitter), Lil Kesh reassured fans that he is on the road to recovery. He wrote:

“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers.”

The rapper’s message has since gone viral, with fans flooding his timeline with relief, gratitude, and continued prayers for his speedy recovery.

Lil Kesh, who rose to fame under Olamide’s YBNL Nation and became one of Afrobeats’ most influential street-hop voices, has faced challenges in recent years but remains a fan favorite.

This is not the first time artistes would be attacked during a robbery.

In January, US-based Nigerian rapper Onome Onokohwomo better known as Yung6ix, recounted how he narrowly escaped death after a foiled robbery attack in Downtown, Los Angeles.

He said the robber shot at his car while he was inside the vehicle but the bullet miraculously missed him.

The music star who shared the shocking experience with his fans on X, said he thought it was an assassination attack.

Days before, disc jockey, Nonso Temisan Ajufo, popularly known as DJ Big N recounted how he narrowly escaped death after a robbery attack in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The disc jockey revealed that he was on his way to a club on the 12th of January alongside an acquaintance when they were ambushed by a gang of six men.

He said he was shot in the leg while attempting to escape during the robbery. He said the robbers took away his jewellery and other valuables worth $114,000.

DJ Big N shared that he was rushed to a nearby hospital and the doctors described his survival as “miraculous.”
