Darey And Johnny Drille Light-Up T2’s Brand Reveal

From 9mobile to T2, Nigeria’s digital landscape has a bold new player, and it made its entrance in true style. The highly anticipated brand unveils lit up the city with a night that fused music, fashion, and technology, showcasing T2’s commitment to being more than a telecom provider, it’s a cultural partner for a rising generation.

The launch unfolded like a cultural showcase. Dare ‘Art’ Alade, master of stage and style, hosted the evening with flair, while Johnny Drille delivered a soulful live performance that had guests swaying, singing, and feeling the pulse of the new T2 vibe. Together, they turned a corporate unveiling into a lifestyle moment, where technology and entertainment shared the spotlight.

“This launch is about more than faster networks, it’s about becoming part of the lifestyle, the culture, the creativity of our people,” said Obafemi Banigbe, CEO of T2. “From music to fashion, from entrepreneurship to gaming, T2 is here to connect Nigerians not just to the internet, but to the moments and movements that matter most.”

The transformation from 9mobile to T2 follows the 2023 acquisition by Lighthouse Telecoms, led by investor Thomas Etuh, and is backed by a strategic infrastructure-sharing partnership with MTN Nigeria, boosting nationwide coverage, capacity, and resilience.

Government and industry leaders were present to witness the milestone. Dr. Bosun Tijani, Minister for Digital Economy, commended T2’s vision: “Let this rebrand be a renewed promise of innovation, service excellence, and impact for millions of Nigerians. The future belongs to those who embrace change before it’s forced upon them.”

The Lagos State Government, represented by Barr. Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, welcomed T2’s mission, noting its alignment with the state’s digital economy agenda, and its potential to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and youth empowerment.

Rolling out through high-energy brand activations, influencer collaborations, and youth-led storytelling, T2’s new identity is anchored in Fast Connectivity, Smart Lifestyle, Creative Energy, and Trust, designed to serve everyone from content creators and gamers to entrepreneurs and everyday hustlers.

With its rebrand celebrated in a night of rhythm, style, and connection, T2 has sent a clear message, this isn’t just a network upgrade, it’s a movement.
