Graph Secures CBN License to Expand Cross-Border Payments

Graph, an international money transfer operator, has been issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria, which enables the fintech firm to scale its secure cross-border payment solutions and deepen financial inclusion for African businesses.

Founded with a mission to help African enterprises break trade barriers, Graph has spent the past three years building tools that simplify cross-border transactions, manage multi-currency accounts and connect businesses to global markets.

“This licence from the CBN affirms our dedication to doing business the right way, securely, transparently, and with our customers’ best interests at heart,” Chief Operating Officer of Graph, Tomi Badejo, shared in a note to The PUNCH on Wednesday. “With this milestone, we are set to expand access to affordable, fast and compliant cross-border payment solutions.”

Beyond remittances, Graph’s services include multi-currency wallets for holding, sending and receiving funds without unnecessary conversion costs, and the ability for businesses to open USD accounts in their registered names for compliant international transactions.

The company also offers API integrations that allow fintechs, developers and enterprises to automate payouts, manage real-time foreign exchange, and execute borderless transactions, alongside business card solutions for managing operational and international expenses.

Graph, which already serves thousands of businesses across Africa, said the IMTO licence will enable it to strengthen partnerships, enhance security and streamline international payment flows.
