ABC Transport Posts N465.5m H1 2025 Profit


ABC Transport Plc has recorded a profit after tax of N465.5m in the first half of 2025, a turnaround from the N191.5m loss reported in the same period last year.

In its half-year financial statements filed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited recently, the company’s revenue rose sharply to N7.7bn in the six months ended June 30, 2025, up by 52 per cent from N5.1bn recorded in the corresponding period of 2024. Gross profit increased by 55 per cent to N1.8bn.

Administrative expenses remained relatively stable at N1.2bn, while finance costs declined 18 per cent to N205.3m. Profit before tax jumped to N734.4m from a loss before tax of N56.2m in H1 2024.

The group’s total comprehensive income stood at N357m, compared with a loss of N335.4m in the prior period. Basic earnings per share improved to 9.38 kobo from a loss per share of eight kobo.

ABC Transport’s total assets more than doubled to N14.3bn, driven by investments in property, plant, and equipment. The company’s borrowings increased as it expanded operations during the period.
