Yul Edochie Urges Igbos To Leave Ghana, Invest In Southeast

Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has issued an emotional appeal to Igbos living abroad, especially those in Ghana, urging them to return home and invest in the Southeast.

This comes in response to rising tensions in Ghana, where protests recently erupted, with some locals calling for the deportation of Nigerians amid allegations of increasing criminal activity.

In a heartfelt message shared on his Facebook page, Edochie said the backlash should not be met with hostility, but seen as a spiritual sign to reconnect with their roots.

“Ndi Igbo, come back home and invest in Igbo land. If you’re facing rejection on foreign soil, it’s not a sign to fight. It’s a sign to return home,” he wrote.

He described the situation as a call from Igbo ancestors to rebuild the region, emphasising that a new era of unity and development is dawning in the Southeast.

Quoting a popular proverb, he concluded: “Ana amalu mma si na uno wee puo ilo,  meaning “beauty begins at home before it shines outside.”
