The Thrive Above and Beyond Foundation has empowered young girls aged 15-20 with tech skills required for the future of work and innovation.

According to a statement made available to The PUNCH on Wednesday, the seven-day training program, tagged ‘Thrive Girls in STEM,’ culminated in a showcase.

Thrive Above and Beyond Foundation is an organisation committed to empowering young women. The program trained over 100 girls in web development, graphic design, and creative technology, helping them gain hands-on experience and exposure to digital tools, real-world processes, and collaborative projects.

The initiative also fostered personal development, critical thinking, and leadership, preparing participants to take advantage of emerging opportunities in the tech and creative sectors.

The closing event, ‘Innovation in Your Hands Day,’ served as both a showcase and a celebration of the girls’ achievements. Attendees presented their projects, participated in design challenges, and received awards for outstanding performance.

Speaking at the event, the founder of the Thrive Above and Beyond Foundation, Bolaji John, said, “We want every girl to know that innovation is not distant or out of reach; it is right in their hands. This programme proves that with access, opportunity, and the right support, these girls can create solutions and shape the future.”

Managing Partner at Ash Partners, Sheila Ash Nelson, added, “It is inspiring to witness this level of potential and energy in these young women. The future of innovation is brighter because of platforms like Thrive that are committed to grooming talent early.”
