The International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria has announced that its 26th Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, 31st July 2025, in Lagos, with a strong focus on maritime trade and the organisation’s strategic direction for the years ahead.
According to the Secretary-General of ICC Nigeria, Olubunmi Osuntuyi, the AGM will serve as a platform for reflection, accountability, and forward planning, aligning the Chamber’s activities with the global mandate of the ICC in promoting international trade, responsible business conduct, and the rule of law.
“The AGM presents an important opportunity for reflection, accountability, and forward planning as we continue to align our activities with ICC’s global mandate,” Mrs. Osuntuyi said in a statement.
Delivering the Post-AGM lecture will be Mr. Pius Ukeyima Akutah, MON, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council.
His talk, titled ‘Shipping and Maritime Trade: The Backbone of International Trade,’ is expected to provide insight into the critical role of maritime logistics in global commerce.
The 2025 AGM will also witness the formal induction of new members into ICC Nigeria, including OA&C Legal, Summit Field, Woodhall Capital Ltd, Power Afric Energy Services, Anaje Olumide Oke Akinkugbe, Harris-Isa, Omoloju & Co., Optimus Bank Ltd, Yakubu Maikasuwa, Toki Mabogunje & Co., Premium Trust Bank, ASL Business Solutions Ltd, Providus Bank, and Fidelis Oditah & Co.
Highlights of the meeting include the presentation of the 2024 Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements, a review of Nigeria’s participation in ICC Global Commissions and Taskforces, and the adoption of new strategic goals for 2025–2026. Elections into key leadership positions will also take place during the session.
As the Nigerian National Committee of the world’s largest business organisation, ICC Nigeria plays a pivotal role in advancing private sector priorities in trade, investment, arbitration, sustainability, and digital transformation.
The AGM is expected to bring together ICC Nigeria’s esteemed members, industry stakeholders, policymakers, and development partners to collectively shape the future of business in Nigeria and beyond.
