Cavista Promotes Two Female Executives to Leadership Roles

Cavista Holdings has announced the promotion of two of its senior female executives to strategic leadership positions, reinforcing its commitment to advancing women in leadership across the group.

Funlola Akintonde has been named Senior People Director and Chief of Staff to the Chairman. In her dual role, she will lead the Group’s People function while working closely with the founder and chairman of Cavista Holdings, Niyi Olajide, to align enterprise-wide priorities, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and drive organisational efficiency.

Akintonde is a seasoned human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience across the finance, energy, and technology sectors. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Ibadan. Her elevation, according to the Group, reflects her track record of visionary leadership and ability to manage both people and strategy.

Also promoted is Anthonia Attoh, who assumes the role of Vice President, Operations at Agbeyewa Farms, a subsidiary of Cavista Holdings. Prior to this appointment, she served as Director of Operations at Cavista Holdings, where she was instrumental in streamlining operations and introducing professionalised processes across the group.

Attoh brings a wealth of operational expertise, backed by an HND in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Lagos State University. She also holds an associate’s degree in Business Analysis from The George Washington University School of Business, and is a certified manager of quality and organisational excellence.

Speaking on the appointments, the Chairman of Cavista Holdings said the move underscores the Group’s dedication to nurturing talent and promoting leaders who align with its values of excellence and impact.

“At Cavista, we are deeply committed to recognising talent and advancing leaders who embody our values of excellence, purpose, and impact,” Olajide said. “Funlola and Anthonia represent the very best of our organisation. Their leadership, character, and ability to deliver results will play a defining role in the next phase of our growth across industries and continents. I am incredibly proud of them and excited for what lies ahead.”

Cavista Holdings said the appointments reflect its broader strategy of investing in top-tier talent to drive sustainable growth in Africa and globally. The Group added that the move also reaffirms its commitment to empowering women in leadership roles.

Both executives are expected to play key roles in executing the group’s strategic plans across its businesses.
