Voting is ongoing to elect chairmen and councillors across the 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State to take charge of affairs for the next three years.
However, some polling units in Calabar municipality experienced delays due to the late arrival of election materials.
As early as 8 am on Saturday, accreditation and voting did not commence until about 9 am in Calabar South and Biase LGA, as voters had to wait a little longer to commence at about 10 am.
