Davido’s Timeless Album Earns Silver Certification In UK


Nigerian music icon, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has achieved another major milestone as his fourth studio album, Timeless, has officially been certified Silver in the United Kingdom.

The certification, confirmed by Chart Data, a reputable source for global music sales and analytics comes after the album surpassed 100,000 units sold in the UK, earning Davido a prestigious silver plaque.

Released on March 31, 2023, Timeless showcases Davido’s versatility, blending a rich mix of Afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, konto, highlife, and Afropop. The 17-track project features collaborations with prominent artists including Asake, Skepta, Dexta Daps, Fave, The Cavemen, and Angelique Kidjo.

The album was a commercial and critical success, breaking streaming records across several platforms including Spotify Nigeria, Audiomack, Boomplay, and YouTube. It also earned Davido a Grammy nomination for Best Global Album and a Headies nomination for Song of the Year.

Among the standout tracks, the infectious hit Unavailable not only went Silver in the UK but also received a Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance. Another fan-favorite, Feel, earned a Grammy nod for Best Global Song Performance.

To promote the album, Davido launched the Timeless Tour, a global concert series that has taken him across North America and Europe, with performances in major cities like Washington D.C., Toronto, New York, and London.

Timeless continues to solidify Davido’s status as one of Africa’s most influential and globally recognized music stars.
