PUNCH, Arise TV, Others Make Lis

Nigeria’s leading media organisation, PUNCH Nigeria Limited, has been listed among Nigeria’s top 50 PR and communication firms for 2025.

The prestigious recognition was unveiled on Wednesday through the PR Power List 2025, which celebrates individuals and organisations that are making exceptional impacts across Nigeria’s public relations and strategic communications landscape.

The PUNCH, which has long established itself as Nigeria’s most widely read newspaper, was recognised in the “Fourth Estate” category for its consistent commitment to impactful journalism and its vital role in amplifying public discourse.

The publication was celebrated alongside other media giants, including Arise TV, BusinessDay, BellaNaija, HumAngle, and News Central.

Also, the spokesperson for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Dele Oyewale, was listed under the “Community Impact” category, which spotlights communicators who have used their platforms to build public trust, bridge institutional gaps, and promote accountability.

As EFCC’s image-maker, Oyewale has been instrumental in clarifying the commission’s mission, shaping its media engagement strategy, and projecting its anti-corruption mandate with transparency and professionalism.

Other top professionals featured on the list include Diran Olojo of FCMB, Gbemiga Ogungbemi of the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, Odion Aleobua of Modion Communication, and Gbenga Omotoso, Lagos State Commissioner of Information and Strategy.

Others are Bridget Oyetunde-Odusanmi, Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications, Stanbic IBTC Holdings; Benigbe Awalpe, PR Manager, MainOne; Anthony Chiejina, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Dangote Group; John Ajayi, Editor-in-Chief, Marketing Edge Magazine; and Otega Ogara, SSA to President Bola Tinubu on Digital and new media

Speaking on the selection process and purpose of the list, the Managing Partner at GLG Communications, Omawumi Ogbe, said the goal was to recognise excellence and inspire a stronger communication culture within both the public and private sectors.

“The 2025 PR Power List is our honour to unveil. It celebrates professionals who are not only visible but also accountable and impactful. These individuals and organisations have redefined how communication drives trust, inclusion, and strategic growth in Nigeria today,” Ogbe said.

She added that the list was compiled based on influence, consistency, creativity, and the measurable outcomes achieved by nominees in the past year.
