Buhari, Visionary Leader Who Prioritized People’s Welfare, Says S/House P/Sec, Fashedemi


‎The Permanent Secretary of the State House, Mr. Temitope Fashedemi, has paid glowing tribute to the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, lauding him as an elder statesman who devoted his life to nation building.‎

‎Signing the condolence register at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Fashedemi described Buhari as a visionary leader who prioritised the welfare of Nigerians, particularly the poor.‎

According to a release by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Abiodun Oladunjoye, Fashedemi said “Our dearly departed former President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, ‎You were indeed a great man with passion for duty and totally focused on nation building.

‎”You were a man of integrity and very committed to the improvement of the livelihood of the majority of our citizens, especially the poor amongst us.” ‎

He noted that those who worked closely with the former President, both in the State House and across the Public Service could attest to his unwavering commitment to the country: “For those of us in the State House and the larger Public Service, we can vouch for your concern for the nation and that you gave your best to our country Nigeria.‎ You will be forever missed.”‎

‎He prayed for divine mercy and eternal rest for the late President.

President Bola Tinubu had directed that Condolence Registers be opened in all Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies as well as at Nigerian Embassies and Missions abroad.
