CPIN Awards Pension Fellowship to Top Executives

The Chartered Pension Institute of Nigeria has revealed its intention to confer honorary fellowship on top management staff with long years of experience and contributions towards the development of the pension industry.

In a statement on Thursday, the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer CPIN, Samson Akinyemi, said the recognition would come during its upcoming induction ceremony.

The Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria was established in 1991 and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2003 as the professional pension body in the country.

Akinyemi said top management staff who have spent about 20 years or more in the pension industry, along with their other qualifications, are exempted from writing all examinations, and honorary fellowship will be granted to them.

He noted that in the same vein, the institute would recognise and honour middle management staff who have, by qualifications and years of experience, distinguished themselves, adding that the institute is looking for people who have spent between 10 and 15 years in practice along with their organisations.

Akinyemi added that membership of the institute is open to the general public, provided that such interested persons possess the prescribed qualifications and requirements for membership.
