Fidelity Bank Rewards N30m in Savings Promo

Fidelity Bank Plc has rewarded 29 customers with a total of N30m in the latest rounds of its Get Alert in Millions Season 6 savings promo, reaffirming its commitment to promoting financial literacy, encouraging savings, and rewarding customer loyalty.

The announcement was made during the 4th, 5th, and 6th monthly draws of the GAIM 6 campaign recently.

One of the highlights of the draws was the double win of Kizito Onunkwo from the Abuja region. The customer, who earlier won in the fourth monthly draw, emerged winner again in the sixth monthly draw and is taking home a cumulative prize of N2m.

In addition to Onunkwo, 28 other winners from across different geopolitical zones in Nigeria received N1m each.  The draws, conducted electronically, were supervised by representatives from the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission and other regulators to ensure fairness and transparency.

Speaking at the event, the Promo Chairperson and Executive Director, Lagos & South-West, Fidelity Bank, Ken Opara, emphasised the bank’s continued focus on customer empowerment through innovative financial solutions.

“As a tier-one financial institution, Fidelity Bank remains passionate about driving initiatives that support our customers’ financial aspirations. The GAIM 6 promo exemplifies our commitment to cultivating a healthy savings culture and rewarding loyalty,” said Opara.

“We are also proud to announce that since the launch of GAIM 6 in December 2024, we have disbursed over N48m to 1,769 customers across various segments and categories. For us, it’s more than just a reward system; we are empowering our customers for a better future,” Opara added.

Also speaking at the event, the Divisional Head of Product Development at Fidelity Bank, Osita Ede, elaborated on the eligibility criteria and structure of the promo.

“To qualify for the monthly draws, customers must maintain a minimum balance of N10,000 in their Fidelity Bank savings account, which earns them two electronic tickets. Every additional N5,000 equals one more ticket. For the grand prize draw of N10 million, customers are required to have at least four tickets equivalent to N20,000 in savings,” Ede explained.

He added that GAIM 6 is designed to be inclusive, with dedicated draws for NYSC corps members, women, children, and workers, to promote financial inclusion and recognise their significant contributions to society.

He added that the bank recently awarded school fees support worth N512.8m to 884 Fidelity Personal Savings Scheme and 472 Fidelity SWEETA customers.

The PUNCH reported that international credit rating agency Fitch Ratings has upgraded Fidelity Bank’s National Long-Term Rating to ‘A+(nga)’ from ‘A(nga)’ and affirmed its Long-Term Issuer Default Rating (IDR) at ‘B’.
