T-Jos Makes History With 154-Hour Longest Premium Haircuts Marathon


Nigerian barber, Joshua Aiyeniro, popularly known as T-Jos, has successfully completed the Guinness World Records for the longest premium haircuts marathon, clocking an impressive 154 hours.

The seven-day challenge, which began on June 10, 2025, at exactly 10 pm at the Velodrome, Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, came to a close today, June 17, 2025, at precisely 10 pm.

A press statement signed by Head of Media & Publicity Planning Committee, Alh. Gambo Jagindi said T-Jos spent 168 active hours on the challenge, with 14 hours of rest deducted in accordance with Guinness World Records rules, which entitle participants to one hour of rest after every 12 hours. This remarkable achievement is a testament to T-Jos’s dedication, passion, and perseverance.

The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who was present at the venue earlier to officially declare the countdown to the closing ceremony. His presence, along with other prominent figures, underscored the significance of T-Jos’s achievement and the impact it has on promoting skill acquisition and inspiring the youth.

Governor Aiyedatiwa said T-Jos’s achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a source of inspiration for many. “We are proud to have supported him on this journey, and we look forward to seeing the impact his achievement will have on the nation’s youth.”
