Lagos Students Get Creative Skills Boost

Marketing communications firm Nitro 121 has equipped secondary school students in Lagos with practical creative skills under its new initiative, ‘Fuelling Future Creatives’, as part of its corporate social responsibility.

In a statement, Nitro 121 noted it engaged the students of Victory Grammar School and Victory High School, both in Ikeja, in a one-day creative immersion programme to commemorate its 20th anniversary.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Lampe Omoyele, said the initiative was aimed at “fuelling the creativity of future leaders” by exposing them to relevant, real-world tools needed for success in the digital economy.

Omoyele told the students, “Every human being has the gift of creativity. This event is designed to help you discover and sharpen that gift. Creativity is needed in every facet of life.”

During the sessions, senior secondary students received hands-on training in graphic design, video editing, and the use of artificial intelligence for content creation.

Facilitators included Nitro 121’s Creative Director, Chamberlin Ukenedo; Digital Content Writer, Faith Ekekwe; Copywriter, Kedonojo Williams; and Brand Strategist, Favour Alilu.

The session was moderated by the agency’s CSR Lead, Kehinde Adollo, who said the programme delivered fully on its theme of ‘Fuelling Future Creatives’.

At the end of the workshop, students received certificates of participation, symbolising the beginning of what the organisers described as their creative journey.

Principal of Victory Grammar School, Adeyinka Afolayan, praised the company for what she called “excellent training”, highlighting the hands-on modules and provision of learning materials for both students and teachers.

She remarked, “This kind of initiative not only equips our students with 21st-century skills but also shows them what is possible beyond the classroom.”
