D’Banj Electrifies UniAbuja, Rewards Talents At Campus Invasion

Following three days of interactive digital experiences, skill-building workshops, and lively campus engagement, the MTN Go MAD on Campus event powered by MTN Pulse, culminated in a high-energy musical showcase at the University of Abuja.

Held from May 27 to 29, 2025, the grand finale featured Afrobeat star D’Banj, who thrilled students and celebrated emerging talent on campus.

The event climaxed with a breathtaking concert that left students buzzing with excitement. Amid an explosive display of lights and thunderous applause, Nigeria’s own D’Banj stormed the stage. From the first beat, he commanded the crowd, delivering an electrifying performance filled with unmatched energy and charisma.

Adding to the excitement, D’Banj went beyond performing—he actively engaged the students by inviting audience members to perform his songs live on stage.

For their enthusiastic participation, each student was generously rewarded with ₦50,000. The highlight came when a standout talent from the Faculty of Arts won the grand prize of ₦250,000, personally presented by D’Banj himself, underscoring the event’s spirit of empowerment and celebration.

This wasn’t just a concert; it was a powerful affirmation of the Go MAD spirit. The grand finale was a testament to MTN’s profound commitment to Nigeria’s youth.

As the final notes faded and the lights dimmed, a powerful sense of jubilation and inspiration remained. D’Banj didn’t just entertain—he electrified and uplifted the crowd, perfectly capturing the celebratory spirit of the MTN Go MAD Campus Invasion. It was an unforgettable night that made UniAbuja a standout.

The initiative is committed to reaching students where they are, and while Abuja is the starting point, it will be expanding to other campuses. The innovation was successful with the support of LG, Audiomack, Betamalt, and CREAM.
