New Finance Management App Unveiled

A finance management app designed to help creatives, freelancers, and small business owners better manage their funds has been unveiled.

The app, called Velvy, allows users to send branded, professional invoices quickly, track payments with notifications, log and categorise expenses effortlessly, and automate reminders to avoid chasing late payments. Velvy allows users to view clear cash flow and income trends.

The app also removes the need for complicated spreadsheets and financial jargon, offering simple tools that give users control over their businesses. Velvy was developed by an accountant, Jennifer Alordiah, who has over seven years of experience in the profession.

In a statement, Alordiah recalled that despite her accounting background, managing her freelance finances was often overwhelming. She said she had spent countless hours tracking invoices and expenses across spreadsheets, email threads, and messaging apps, sometimes forgetting who had paid her or missing follow-ups altogether.

“I was tired of the chaos,” she said, realising that if she faced such challenges, it would be even harder for others without a finance background. This insight inspired her to develop Velvy, a smart, intuitive invoicing and expense tracking app designed to help creators, freelancers, and small business owners manage their money like professionals.

“For too long, we’ve been told that financial clarity is something you need to hire someone for or learn the hard way. I believe it should be built in,” she said.

She described Velvy as more than just an app, recommending it as a handy tool for anyone seeking to feel less chaotic and more confident in managing their finances.
