8 Convicted For Robbing Kim Kardashian In 2016

Eight people have been found guilty in connection with the dramatic armed robbery of United States reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, who was held at gunpoint and robbed of millions of dollars worth of jewelleries in Paris nearly a decade ago.

The high-profile heist occurred during Paris Fashion Week in 2016, when Kardashian was tied up and robbed in her private apartment by a gang posing as police officers.

The stolen items, estimated to be worth $10 million (£7.55 million), included a diamond engagement ring and other luxury jewellery pieces.

Ten individuals, including nine men and one woman, stood trial over the robbery, accused of carrying out or assisting in the attack.

Two were acquitted, while four who directly participated in the heist received prison sentences of up to eight years, although most of those terms were suspended.

In a statement following the verdicts, Kardashian reflected on the emotional toll the ordeal had taken on her, “The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family,” she said.

“While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all.”

The verdicts marked a significant chapter in one of the most notorious celebrity crime cases in recent memory — a heist that raised global questions about celebrity security and social media exposure.
