Indomie lauds fan club on 20th anniversary

Food brand Indomie has lauded the impact of its juvenile-based fan club for positively engaging Nigerian children for 20 years.

According to a statement, the brand celebrated its 20th anniversary with an event held at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.

Themed ‘A Journey of Love: Friendship Through the Years Built on Love’, the celebration featured a parade of children clad in blue, orange and yellow membership shirts representing the Indomitable superhero characters.

Club Coordinator Faith Joshua unveiled the official anniversary logo and introduced the club’s theme song.

“The 20th anniversary is a monumental moment for us,” Joshua said. “Launching the theme song today is a symbolic way to mark it—an anthem that captures the spirit of what this club means to our children. With over 150,000 members nationwide, our journey has only just begun.”

General Manager of Corporate Communications and Events at Dufil Prima Foods, Temitope Ashiwaju, hailed the platform’s growth and longevity, noting, “This is no small feat. The success of the Indomie Fan Club is built on a foundation of love, trust, and community, thanks to the children, their parents, and our dedicated educators.”

Meanwhile, a veteran educator and one of the parents in attendance, Oji Joy, shared her experience with the platform, stating, “Being part of this family, both as a teacher and a parent, has been amazing. Recognising teachers last year with the ‘Educator’ title made us feel truly appreciated.”

She added that the annual graduation celebration for children is another unique tradition that sets this club apart.

Further, the twelve-year-old winner of the fourth edition of Team Yourself Up, Emerald Adejuwon, expressed her excitement, saying, “Thank you, Indomie Fan Club, for letting us have fun, build friendships, and be celebrated like this.”

Highlights of the event included appearances from the Indomitable superhero mascots, Big Boy, Stretchy, Swifty, Tweeny, and Vision, who joined the children in dancing, playing, and sharing hugs. The event ended with children imprinting colourful handprints on a commemorative ‘fun palm wall’.

Founded in 2005, Indomie Fan Club is a child-focused platform for children aged four to 12. According to the brand, the fan club offers educational, cultural and social enrichment activities, including music, art, storytelling, and factory tours, aimed at developing confident, creative and well-rounded young Nigerians.
