Mantrac unveils new product

Mantrac Nigeria, a dealer for Caterpillar (CAT) power systems, has unveiled a new gas-powered generator set, the CAT G3520K, to provide more efficient and sustainable energy solutions to industries grappling with erratic power supply.

According to a statement, the company introduced the product during a high-level customer engagement session held in Lagos.

Themed ‘Powering Possibilities: Maximised Efficiency, Minimise Costs, Unmatched Support with Caterpillar Gas Generators,’ the event attracted customers, industry players and energy experts from across the country.

Managing Director of Mantrac Nigeria, Emad Adeeb, stated that the company designed the new product to support better asset management and reduce operational stress for Nigerian businesses.

“Let me use this opportunity to inform you that we are introducing a new range of products, with a special focus on the CAT G3520K, which is engineered to help you navigate today’s challenges by supporting better asset management and reducing operational stress,” Adeeb remarked.

He pointed out that Mantrac held customer satisfaction at the heart of its operations, adding “We put our customers at the core of all we do. Listening, learning, and providing solutions that truly address your needs are more important goals of this engagement session than simply introducing new products.”

The company lauded the CAT G3520K generator’s features, including higher fuel efficiency, greater power output, and faster load response, making it ideal for industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, commercial operations and utility services.

Mantrac noted that the machine’s G2 transient capability enables it to reach a maximum load 40 per cent faster than previous models.

Further, senior Caterpillar officials gave technical presentations during the event. Group Segment Manager, Large Electric Power, Ahmed Aly, discussed Advanced Gas Applications and Combined Heat and Power systems.

Senior EP Consultant Chukwuemeka Igboanugo spoke on Upgrade Solutions, while Senior Reman Consultant Khaled Kurdi explained how the CAT Reman programme delivers “performance like new, value beyond compare.”

Gas Business Development Manager Hicham Chahdad and Territory Manager for Large Electric Power, Roland Rahme, provided insights into the new G3500K series. They emphasised its superior efficiency and lower operational costs as vital for businesses aiming to cut energy expenditure.

Customers in attendance commended Mantrac and Caterpillar for their commitment to after-sales support and customer-centric innovation. During the interactive Q&A session, they also offered suggestions for deeper collaboration.

The event, which featured live product demonstrations and technical discussions, reaffirmed the partnership between Mantrac and Caterpillar in pushing sustainable energy technologies into the Nigerian market.

The firms added that the introduction of the CAT G3520K and G3500K ranges demonstrates their resolve to help businesses overcome the persistent power generation and distribution hurdles.
